This or That Reveal

Hey guys!

Thanks so much to everyone who participated in my first This or That segment!

And the results are...2 for the bad haircut and 1 for the bad tan.

So it's time for me to reveal which of the two I would choose! I'm sure it comes as no surprise that I would rather have a bad haircut than a bad tan. It's simple to hide a bad haircut - wear a hat, get extensions, etc...but how do you hide a bad tan that is on your ENTIRE body? Sure you could use makeup to fix your face, but what about your hands and arms? Your neck? Your ears? Your feet? Oh gosh I don't know what I would do! I would probably sit in the shower for HOURS with a highly exfoliating scrub trying to get that stuff off, haha. & plus my hair grows at a ridiculous rate so yeah.

Speaking of bad haircuts...I just went to cut my hair a few weeks ago and I think my hair dresser must've been tired or something because he didn't even ask me how I wanted my hair cut...he just started cutting! I thought he remembered me from previous haircuts since I've been going to him for a while...but I was wrong. The whole cut was wrong, and he started curling it before I actually saw how wrong it was! So I went home, washed it, and to my horror saw what had become of my hair! Unfortunately I was leaving for Vegas the next day so I couldn't get it fixed right away...

Needless to say, as soon as I got back, I called my hairdresser back and told him I needed him to recut it. Even then it still wasn't right because he was rushing to finish since I wasn't paying him and his customers were waiting...sigh. I'm just waiting for it to grow out now, what else can you do?

Have you ever had a bad hair experience? Be it a cut, dye job, perm, etc? What did you do? Did you go back and complain to get it fixed?

Until next time guys, have a good weekend!

  2. I've got a few bad experiences sadly enough. The most memorable was when my mom permed my hair when I was young. It came out poodly. I've cried like crazy.

  3. It's snowing in DC--so the grocery stores were packed all day! We're getting real snow this time 12 to 24 inches. I love everything about it except the shoveling! =)

    Have a great weekend.

  4. I just saw you comment about the haircuts (and a bowl on the head)! LOL That's my dad's handywork in my profile picture.

I might have been better off with the bowl!!! hahaha~

  5. Ack! This may not be the season to get a haircut. Haha. I can imagine how many people flock to the salons to get new 'dos for Christmas & for New Year. Don't worry, your hair's gonna grow again.

The only bad haircut I got was when I was 8 I think. I so wanted to have fringes so I cut my own hair, three days before a major school activity. My Mom was ballistic!

  6. I've once had my hair permed... it turned out gigantic and ugly. 6 month's later it was ok, as the curls were bigger and prettier, but I will not EVER get a perm again... NEVER!

  7. Yeah, I went back to get it re-cut, but I always feel guilty about it. I still haven't found a good hair dresser at a good price. I've found one I like, but so pricey! Plus the more expensive it is, the more you have to tip. I just let my hair grow long to avoid the trouble.

  8. ^russ - haha ohh dear ! Was it that a fringe didn't suit you, or that you didn't cut the fringe very well? Haha.

^toothfairy - perms never seem to work out right unless you're older. No one ever seems to be happy ! haha

^Steph - I just tell myself...I'd rather pay well for a good haircut than to cheap out and get a bad haircut because it stays with you for a few months! But i agree with you, I am looking for a decently-priced hairdresser too!
